However amazing the Coup precognition of 9/11 is (see post below) this is overshadowed by the album cover opposite. The band are called Dream Theater. If you look closely you will see an image of the World-Trade Centre in flames. Now the title is "Live Scenes From New York". Now a simple question - how many times would those actual words have been used by TV and radio reporters on September 11th 2001? These words will be forever associated with the images of that day - burned into a "memory" that may be recalled in a future life re-run in the Bohmian IMAX.Now for the real stunner. The CD was released on ... September 11th 2001! A day or so later the band made the following announcement:
We are all OK....Our sessions today are obviously cancelled as NYC is sealed shut and we will return to NYC to continue whenever it re-opens.
In regard to the live album's cover art, I can only say that it is a horrible coincidence that we obviously could have never forseen. The timing of the release of the CD happening on the very same day as this tragedy is merely an incredible coincidence. We are currently in discussions with the label as to whether or not we will recall the CD's and replace them with a different cover. Obviously, the recovery of everybody's personal lives here in New York is the first priority

A friend of mine who has suffered many psychotic episodes over his lifetime and has been diagnosed first as schizophrenic and then bi polar had an episode just prior to 9/11. Witnesses of this episode heard him say something like: Circle the wagons, the US is going to be attacked.
I am happy to say he managing his illness and life well these days and hasn't had an episode since then
All of this is extraordinary, and incredibly fascinating. I do believe that your theory of a daemonic "precognitive memory" which anticipates that which has been stored in memory and recurs repeatedly is indeed the correct interpretation -- and the most numinous and inspiring that I have ever encountered. Last year on the internet I found a series of playing cards created in the 1990s which depicted the WTC collapsing in flames, and the Pentagon building being hit. But I am confused on one point: the photo to the right of the post: surely that is not Anthony Peake?

I am sure that both schizophrenics and bi-polar individuals have more 'open' communication channels between 'eidolonic' and 'daemonic' consciousness. In my next book - due out in June 2008, I will expand upon this idea. I propose something I term 'The Scale of Transcendence and I argue that every person is located somewhere along this scale. At one end are those individuals who experience no daemonic 'overspill' and at the other are schizophrenics whose Huxlian 'Doors of Perception' are wide open.

Well, I can only say of both photos that I am dumbstruck, absolutely stunned. I had better leave it at that; the rest, as Hamlet says, is silence. Thanks for the contribution. Yet again supports the idea that these events seem to echo backwards in time and stimulate subliminal images in the minds of certain receptive individuals - some of whom can reproduce those images in art.
