Peakeian Daemonology
[a new Le Marcsian Science of Self-Awareness]
Is Consciousness Quantifiable?
If we theorise that all consciousness is energy (of such a high frequency, that it may not be detectable within the observable dimensions) and we take Mind to be the “special kind of matter” of Descartes’ Cartesian Dualism together with my own assumption that “all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration” then consciousness transcends mere qualitative and quantitative aspects - Quantum Consciousness or Field Consciousness?
History is littered with ideas of unified consciousness: Gestalt Psychology; Jungian Collective Unconscious; the Information Universe; Akashic Records; Bohr/Pribram’s Holographic Universe; Crowley’s Thelema; Zero-Point Energy Fields; Quantum Vacuum and Peake’s Daemon/Eidolon Dyad are merely brush strokes in the portrait of the consciousness landscape where I assert that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively – suggesting perhaps a Collective Daemonic Consciousness.
Given the Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, we all exist in our own Everett Universe but whereas this leads most to posit the existence of Parallel Universes I contemplate the existence of Concurrent Universes within a Many Minds Interpretation functionality. We ARE effectively, a Universe in ourselves, we are the observer that collapses the wave functions, we create mind and matter and our interactions with others’ "thought-forms" create Quantum Entanglements which alter and shape the nature of our very existence at every quantum event.
Dion Fortune notes that these “thought-forms” (Egregores) or structures of mind are vessels of power and the true means of genuine communication with our higher self. This “spooky action at a distance” as described by Einstein, Podolsky and Rosen (EPR Paradox) where two particles with a quantum entanglement communicate instantaneously with each other is paralleled in life with the psychic abilities of twins; the synchronisation of menstrual cycles in co-habiting females; the synchronicities between lovers and the instant understanding between friends. Our consciousness is shared, and by our quantum entanglements we can learn to tap into this vast energy and change the way things are perceived and the way our life is played.
Decoherence suggest that objects/consciousness interacts with the environment and the slightest interaction with that natural world can disturb the two wave functions and then separate, once the two wave functions are no longer vibrating in phase with each other, the two wave functions no longer interact with each other. This leads me to the state of sleep and the importance of dreaming within the realms of consciousness. I believe that is only when our consciousness is removed from the false empirical bombardment that it receives from our perceived environment that it is allowed to return to its true nature - oneness.
Does Decoherence make Consciousness unnecessary in Quantum Mechanics?
*I think I'll leave that question for another day*
Through dreams our consciousness returns to swim in the objective ocean rather than flapping about in the subjective puddle of our waking empiricalism. Through meditation, relaxation and communication with our higher self we become at one with reality.
Peakeian Daemonology must teach the world of the secret self and share experiences and techniques of how to reach this communication.
Finally, if we do infact inhabit our own personal universes within our minds then communicating with the Collective Daemonic Consciousness is surely the true realisation on ones self in the nature of the multiverse here in our existence, AND surely this would mean that every single instance of conception where two universes meet in creative union the moment of sexual unity would quite literally be...........A Big Bang !!

Does Decohenrence make Consciousness unnecessary in Quantum Mechanics?
*I think I'll leave that question for another day*
**********Wussy!************
When i get 20 minutes to myself one day i'm going to break it down for you all, HurlyBurly style!
Thanks Karl, really enjoyed reading that, that was extremely well written. I'll give you an answer when i've seen part 2 of Hawkin's highlight reel next week.
Thanks Martin. I don't think you'll get much clarity from Hawking on this question though.
And just for you HurlyBurly, I'll keep my "Does Decoherence make Consciousness unnecessary in Quantum Mechanics" question unanswered until I meet you so I can give you the full hour long answer in person.

I'm reminded of Dostoyevsky's quote in "The Idiot":
"He remembered that he always had one minute just before the epleptic fit when suddenly in the midst of sadness, spiritual darkness and oppression, there seemed at moments a flash of light in his brain, and with extraordinary impetus all his vital forces suddenly began working at their highest tension. The sense of life, the consciousness of self, were multiplied ten times at these moments which passed like a flash of lightning. His mind and heart were flooded with extraordinary light... But these moments, these flashes, were only the prelude of that final second in which the fit began."
Maybe I'm being simple here, but WHERE do all these Everettian Many Worlds or Concurrant Universes GO? How do they all FIT into spacetime? If they are next to each other then when they are created they must instantly move to their position but that could be trillions of light years away. Don't they all need to be connected or overlapping for communication among them to occur?
Wisconsin.
I have just finished reading Anthony's Nietzsche post, and this complements it beautifully. Thank you, Karl.
Wisconsin?!?! I should have known. It's all so obvious now!
KARL-- Jung agrees:
"Since psyche and matter are contained in one and the same world, and moreover are in continuous contact with one another and ultimately rest on irrepresentable, transcendemntal fgactors, it is not only possible but fairly probably, even, that psyche and matter are two different aspects of one and the same thing." "On the Nature of the Psyche," The Structyre and Dynamics of the Psyche, CW 8, par. 418.
Wow.... so cleverly put... like you I have read a myriad of assorted works, unlike you, I have forgotten some. But I remember once reading that a great Yogi(NOT the Bear!!) once materialised a thoughtform of a being that others could see...
When I discovered Lucid Dreaming many years ago, I kept thinking that somehow there must be a correlation of controlling dreams, and bringing that into controlling *real* life....as I have said to others around me (who usually DONT understand) look at this very Planet.... all on it was just a big ball with trees and minerals and animals etc.... what we see now was a thoughtform in someones mind at some stage... from Ferraris to mousetraps...EVERY SINGLE THING we behold started as an idea... obvious but true, and we seem to be accelerating towards a time when we will just think and make it so... just like Lucid Dreams....
people once believed the Earth was flat, and men like Anthony who were forward thinking were not believed... but he will be... and we disciples will say HA I TOLD YOU SO!!!
regards Jesamyn.
KEN,
No you are not being "simple" at all. As to your "where do all these Everettian universes go?", I say where are "WE"?
M-Theory suggests that EVERYTHING is simultaneously exitential within a membrane of infinite space-time. This would suggest there to be infinite membranes available for these alternate existences.
In my Quantum Entaglement of Consciousness and Concurrent Universes idea there is no need for any other plain of existential working that this one they we are empirically enjoying right now.
We are all living within our own Many MINDS Interpretation universes but concurrently here on this membrane. And you asked "don't they all need to be connected or overlapping for communication to occur?" and if you re-read my post I'm sure you will see that this is exactly my point on the concurrent universe idea and that each conversation and interraction between any and all of us causes a Quantum Entaglement to create communication and alter the course of our own subjective timeline.

SUSAN MARIE:
You are a sweetheart. Thank you.
One likes to compliment Tony as much as I can but not in the ego boosting way as this tends to shifts him from beer to wine.
*smile*
I would be interested to hear your own personal comments on my Daemonlogy post though Susan Marie
*Smile*
KEN II (the return):
*smile*
Thanks for the Jung quote. I'm sure that you will find many more examples of agreement with my theory now I've opened your eyes to the idea.
The post I wrote is merely a synopsis, there is a book as long and detailed as ITLAD in me on this very subject (indeed I'm hoping it may become a colloborative venture with AP soon).
But I'm glad you grasp the concept more now.
JESAMYN:
*hugs*
"Hey Boo Boo!"
*smile*
You raise some interesting points and I wonder if you are aware of the writings of the "Hermetic Order Of The Golden Dawn" on this very subject.
I suggest you would find it fascinating.
I would like to add this thought that came to me during a particularly insomniacal night last night:
By collapsing the consciousness wave function, us (as observers) create the particles of human subjective consciousness.
Deoherence then destroys the holistic value by our empirical interractions.
In dreams and meditate states we re-cohere consciousness and re-establish the wave of collective Daemonic consciousness.
*when we can actually get to bleedin' sleep that is !!!!!*
"These dreams go on when I close my eyes.
Every second Of the night, I live another life.
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside,
every moment I'm awake,
The further I'm away."
HEART - "These Dreams"
Karl; I cannot add any more of my own thoughts to this post, as my thinking tends toward literary criticism and symbolism, with some of Nietzsche's and Kierkegaards' existentialim as a touchstone. I am weak, all too weak on quantum theory and wave functions collapsing. Yet I get the general gist; really, I do. . . And I love to hear you speak on it.

Susan Marie, many of the elements of my theory are indeed Nietzschean, Kierkegaardian and Ouspenkian/Gurdijeffian - about which I know you can speak, and do so beautifully.
Karl: Fascinating post, and interesting comments.
"Collective Daemonic Consciousness", raises a question for me as to whether or not each Eidolon / Daemon dyad represents a unique Daemon in each case, albeit I would say every Eidolon would be unique, thus making every Eidolon / Daemon dyad unique.
CtCw is a fascinating theory; at least everything I've read so far is fascinating.
I've read only a small part of ITLAD. My preference is to read it through in one sitting; but, my available time at the moment is coming more in the way of bits and bytes, if you like, more conducive to viewing the Forum and Bold snapshots, for now.
Cheers - Cam
Cam: Thank You, I am delighted you enjoyed the post. I would suggest you also read "How Soon Is Now" and "How Soon Is Now (2)" in relation to this piece.
Each Eidolon/Daemon Dyad indeed DOES represent a unique Daemon (as that is the part of your subjective consciousness that has lived your life before) but as in the Objective Consciousness Field binds together the Subjective Consciousnesses, the Collective Daemonic Consciousness would bind together The Daemons (at least in Super-Daemon theory)
I'm very glad you like my CtCw, Tony and I wish to develop it and ITLAD into new areas.
Thanks again Cam.
