HELLO

Hi everyone,
I am a new poster. I have one daemonic experience to recount.
It was back in the 70's,I was 27 and had been married for 3 years.I had a 3 year old daughter(one still did the so called right thing back then where I came from).I had fallen in love with another woman and left my wife and daughter. I was living in a flat on my own and consumed with guilt.I had been well trained in guilt through the last vestiges of the old Roman Catholicism.
I felt so bad I was actually impotent with the woman I had pursued. Every day week after week I suffered with this guilt and anger. My whole world was focused on this terrible guilt.
One day at lunchtime, walking back to work feeling really bad, a voice of absolute authority spoke to me.It said: 'Stop this right now! Stop! Enough is enough. Stop doing this to yourself. You have suffered enough. There is nothing to be gained for anyone from this!' I new the voice was me but not any me that I new. I was amazed and a feeling of tolal relief washed over me; I beleived the voice implicitely, it broke me free from this terrible mental restriction. This experience has never left me. With this voice I new I am more than I appear to be.
Regards Horus

Great first post.

Welcome.

Just out of interest, did this voice sound anything like Pele?

Hurlyburly said...

That was mean, my apologies, good humour was intended with that, i usualy post on another board with some vicious creatures! That really was a great post and your sense of humour is more than welcome here. Welcome again.

Horus,
Welcome to the community, and also to the "synchrondipity" regarding your name.
(see Tony's Aleister Crowley post from 7th January - and my comments on that blog).
Interesting!
Can you tell me how you "knew the voice was me but not any me that I knew"
It does certainly sound like your Daemon taking the reins and steering you away from any further guilt or sadness that your "Virgin Life" gave you.
Thanks for sharing this.

MEAN!!! and also quite humourous at the same time.

You must let me know of this "other realm" with the vicious people.
I like my wit and repartee being challenged on occassion.

Don't be fooled Karl le marcs used to post silly comments all the time. He's clearly been practicing. Ever since friday night's shout out it's completely gone to his head!!!!! xxxx

I'm incapable of making constructive criticism on a monday, did i say welcome yet?

Re -vicious other realm

Come, come to the world of view askew. You will bask in the sheer amount of cocky little buggers you can bring down a peg or to, you're clearly well armed.

Thank HurlyBurly, I shall make an appearance at some time, wearing my mask of metaphor and wielding my sword of semantics.

I'll keep an eye out for Xenu-O-Wilde then shall i?

I'll be the one being somewhat sarcastic...or something.

Let's write a book together?

Forward begrudgingly written by Anthony Peake.

Welcome, Horus; that is certainly a "daemonic" experience, straight out of the book. It constitutes one of those "crossroads" crises that do seem to prompt the daemon to speak. We listen or ignore at our own peril, as Jung would say.

Hurlyburly; I could not let your, "begrudgingly written by Anthony Peake" comment go without a "bravo". Did you know that age 26 is supposedly a time of formidable intellectual possibility? I remember reading an essay by Ortega when I was 26; he listed all the thinkers who had reached a sudden forward movement in their thinking precisely at that age. Karl seems to be still "peakeing", as well. . .

Hurlyburly said...

Well it's nice to be acknowledged!

Meanwhile if you know of anyway my wasted life experience/Hons Degree (ok only in Sociology - but much like Mr Peake!)/screenwriting in NY/ could result in a better job please don't hesitate to whore me out there!

Interesting you say that because this really feels like the year when i'm finaly going to get off my a$$ and do something with myself. Besides learning more about Quantam!

*Ha Ha!*
Several pints of the amber stuff may be necessary to obtain Tony's foreward as well!
And Susan Marie, BLIMEY! If we start to peak at 26, I've been Peakeing for 11 years (which may go part of the way to explaining why I am a) So Darn Tired and b) Unable to shut this mind of mine up!
And HurlyBurly, if you want a Quantum teacher (with gags thrown in for good measure), I'm your man.

An honors degree in sociology is nothing to sneeze at, as Peake could well inform you. With your youth and intellect and looks, you will do more than alright: take thy fair hour, time be thine. And just look at the company you've begun to keep: royalty like Karl and Anthony can only sweep you and your daemon to the waiting destiny, which rushes on winged feet to greet you. No 26 year old needs to "get off his ass", either.

Takes better advice spell checks and then

*Superglues a$$ to couch*

SM Kovalinsky said...

That's the ticket, hurlyburly; plenty of superglue is in order. And did you know that sociology has come very much into vogue again? Peake hasn't harmed the cause at all, either.

KARL: Yes, peaking for 11 years may be exhausting, but also rewarding in its own right. I don't need to tell you that the 30s are still well within the youth-to-be-wasted range. Especially if one is male, and British, and eccentric in a Wildean manner. . .

Karl, you won me with

Favourite Movies
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless , Sideways

I saw Paul Giammati in New York in december, his beard was HUGE!!! I asked him for merlot.

Susan, thank you for the kind words, i'd certainly include yourself in the "Running with a smarter pack" advice, it've also very good advice. Certain people are anchors, they, unfortunately seem to make up much of the majority!

Sociology leads to -

Generic reply from average annoying person - "Well couldn't you be a social worker?"

Oh i see, because it has "social" in the title, yes i see what you did there!

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!

Karl Le Marcs said...

And Susan Marie, I am eccentric in many ways; Wildean being merely one!
*smile*

Hurlyburly said...

Pope Alexander!!!

You mean Alexander Pope?

God Bless little stoned Dunst...

Karl Le Marcs said...

LOL
I said Alexander Pope !!!!!!
Pope Alexander was pontiff in the second century.
*methinks some of Kirsten may be rubbing off on you*
(obvious innuendo not intended)

SM Kovalinsky said...

And now Karl, you have left me to ponder the secret animus of that statement; your catalog of poems is similar to my own, yet I find myself strangely thankful. . .

And Hurlyburly, Jesamyn found a painting with your name on it, depicting quantum branching--took the "hurlybuly streets of London" qoute as pointing to you. . . Tell all who suggest being a social worker that what you have studied implies reasearch and writing re the science of causes of social trends--they will glaze over before you are finsihed. . .

Hurlyburly said...

Susan - consider it done.

Karl - you disapoint me so. How dare you not remember every single piece of dialogue from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind!!!

"I promised myself i wouldn't say Pope Alexander....."

I guess there's always the possibilty you were joking back but i like to think i was smarter than you in This one!!

Your comments would be appreciated on my new blog "A Stunning New Look At Deja Vu?"
And yours also HurlyBurly, just keep it clean !!

SM Kovalinsky said...

Karl: I found your blog post on a stunning new interpretation of the deja vu phenomenom to be fascinating, and I read it in its entirety. However, I refrained from posting a comment when I saw that you had said to Tony, "I am too good to you", because I was tempted to add, "Yes, you are, as we all are. . . " feeling paranoid re the Papa Peake and his new, frightening silences toward his bloggers. I know he is busy, but the imagination runs wild. Why can't you & hurlyburly be his research assistants re dja vu and the new data? Hurly, you have been burly well trained for it, me thinks, with statistical and longetudinal socilogical charts, etc. Now he will really think I am presuming. . .

Karl Le Marcs said...

Susan Marie:
Thanks for your comments regarding my blog - I would be ETERNALLY (no pun intended) grateful however if you would repost the comments on the actual post itself to envourage others to do similar.
Go on, just for me
*smile*
As for Papa Peake, don't get paranoid, he is darting all over the UK at present in his "other life" as a Management Consultant, so he's only got limited access to us all from time to time and at weekends - he's organised all his winter lectures for the weekend, if you notice.
So it's nothing personal or anything, he's just trying to pay his bills.
I agree also with your research assistant comment. Tony knows full well I am happy to help with research and stuff, as I have previously, and indeed we have some ideas jointly that we may soon be unleashing on the world very soon.....watch this space.
And with HurlyBurly's Sociology degree, my degrees in Behavioural Psychology and Western Philosophy (I do have a third degree also but it is USELESS!!) I'm sure we can all be of some use, as this blog is being to Tony.
So please repost your comments on my blog, I will be appreciative and Tony himself will be thankful for your continued input.
*hugs*

Hi Folks,

I have been working on a business related contract today but I was keeping in touch via my cell phone. I was amazed - and really pleased - to note just how many postings were being placed on the Blog. This is just how I hoped it would end up.

Susan Marie, sorry about the silence - it doesn't mean I am not regularly checking in.

Interested with regard to Karl and his Wildean interests. When we met in Wigan last Summer I has rather fascinated by this painted portrait of hemself that he carries round neatly wrapped up in string and brown paper. I requested a look but for some reason he declined!

Welcome also to Horus. He and I havew already swopped a couple of very interesting emails and we share one or two curious, but personal, synchronicities.

I am sure that he was not expecting such a big welcome from the team. So thanks again.

Cheers

Tony
