Leasowe Talk
Once again I have had the privilege of attending one of Tony's talks. This time the focus was the quantum physics aspect of ITLAD.
The audience was a small select group - most of us had heard Tony's lectures before. Nevertheless, it is all credit to Tony that people want to hear more of what he has to say and he never disappoints.
Because the group was relatively small, there was an intimate atmosphere that encouraged everyone to join in the discussion session. As always there were lots of amazing examples of how ITLAD can explain real experiences in people's lives.
I thought I would take a few photos to give a flavour of Tony's presentation.
It was the first properly sunny summer's day we have had on the Wirral this year, and maybe that affected the numbers of people attending. Perhaps the next session in Liverpool on Tuesday will attract a few more people!

DI: Thanks for placing this on the Blog. I think that they are really excellent photos because they show me in "full flow".
I agree that the numbers were a little sad but as with Aloh Gary's event in London it allowed a fascinating "after talk" discussion in which some fascinating examples of the validity of ITLAD came out.
Thanks also to Dave and Kathy for attending yet another of my talks ... I am sure that they both can "talk along" with me as I go through the presentation.
Also Stephen - you really should join in here my friend!
Tony it was a pleasure as usual to be present at another of your talks.I think me and Kath know your speech word for word now he he.I do enjoy the talks afterwards and as usual we had lots of questions still to put to you but did'nt have enough time. Hope to see you again soon,
Best wishes, Dave and Kath.
Di: Thank you for this post, and the photos. I would love to see him lecture, and he and KLLM together would be the end of eidolon living forever. You caught him well, he looks as I imagine him. I want them!!!
Susan Marie: I'm glad you approve! I posted the photos with you in mind, as well as other bloggers who live too far away to attend the lectures. And I've emailed them to Andrew too.
Thank you so much. He is as obsessed with photos as I am with writing. You caught him so well in the one, that Andrew has already "worked it" into the sublime. Poor Tony. He as well as Karl has become an object of art and the inward mind.
Woodsprite: Thank you for the photographs and the review.
The first pic still looks like Gremlin Stripe *smile*; the second is one of the best I've seen of AP (as he said, it captures him in full flow); and the third one is a pose I've seen him in often, usually in the comfy chairs of the pub when I'm verbally cogitating on some deeply surreal and existential toot!
*smiles at Tony*
Tony's forthcoming talk to the Liverpool Holistic Circle (again the Quantum Lecture) should be much better attended, including yours truly *bows* and several other bloggers also.
Baphomet: Dave! It would be great if you and Kath could come along on Tuesday night.
Susan Marie: As ever, *blush*, and I apologise there are so few photographs of me, but such is my ludicrously small ego, and my nature of being the dark and mysterious one!
*giggles*
But those who meet me, as you yourself will do shortly, immediately see my inner warmth, compassion and above all, awful gags.
*smile*
Karl: How true - particularly about the awful gags! *giggle*
I have to make note of the word verification this time. I know it's a random collection of letters but this time it's so apt. I have to type "oooec"
Say in northern accent: "ooo eck!!"
Woodsprite: Blimey!
*snigger*
You and Jesamyn with your word verifications make me smile.
Hey! all you people who get to attend Tony`s lectures I`m envious!
Susan marie:I want to come with you in September, take me with u!
Tony; u look so animated in the first and second pic and in the third you look as if you r listening very carefully.
karl: where is the promised audio? and please ,please put up some pics of yourself.I want to see u clearly.
Woodsprite; next time click some pics of the dark mysterious one!
Roshni, at this point you must come with me, as I need your help. Please do come, and Tony looks like a little boy. You understand me about it all, therefore you must put in an appearance on sep 13, or i will not survive it!!! sorry i am so disjointed did not sleep all night---we will capture the 2 in hundreds of photos.
I'm not coming if there are cameras!!
OK, just do not get angry, I cant bear it right now.
I'm not angry in the slightest my dear.
KARL;Ok...we promise not to click any pics...just come home with us!
Roshni, you have my same illness or weirdness or what ever it is, you are a fellow sufferer. It is part and parcel of the dyad, it has wrought strange changes.
Di,
Thanks for the post and pictures, you've got bloggers all over the world even more determined to meet Tony now!
The pictures were an excellent idea, very dynamic.
johar; WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR POST?
i was just going to comment on it!
I think it would be wonderful if we could arrange an Internaational ITLAD convention. There are so many people I would really love to meet and I'm sure the conversation would be electrifying!
woodsprite; be specific!
Roshni: There are lots of people who post on here that I would love to meet. Of course you're one of them, but Susan Marie, Jesamyn, Robin and Ra from Ca all come to mind. Not to mention Hurley Burley.
woodprite: thank you..ur so sweet!
me too, i want to meet all of the mentioned!
Di: You've captured the intensity of Tony's talk very well. Thank you for the glimpse from your side of the globe!
I don't get it, why did you post lots of pictures of Sting?
Martin
*laugh*
Very Funny!!
Hello, I'm a bit of a lurker on this site (so far).
Anyway, not sure where to post this where it will be seen, but here goes.
Comics writer Alan Moore in a recent interview replied to the question -
'Is there is an afterlife?'
AM - 'Well, we may not need one. That, just conceivably, we might get this life forever......That you don't get reincarnated as somebody else, but that you get reincarnated as yourself, over and over again. You have the same thoughts, and you never know you've done this [before], except for those little moments of déjà vu.'
ITLAD-ian?
Link
JM: Welcome. This is very interesting. I have not heard of this guy but that is no doubt a reflection of my ignorance. I am startled by how close Moore comes to itlad. Clearly it would be useful if we could let him know about the book, blog and Forum. Have you any idea how we could do this?
Finally JM - have you checked out my Forum on my website? It would be great if you maybe posted this comment on there as well. Indeed I am about to set up a new topic on there to discuss itlad and popular culture. This would be a fantastic post to kick that off don't you think?
Hello Anthony and thanks for the reply.
No, I'm afraid that I haven't as yet checked out the forum (and must confess that I haven't actually read your book yet, but have been intrigued by the radio interviews and what I've found on this site). Please use the linked article on the forum as you wish, I'm not sure that I'll have much personal input there until I've read the book and thoroughly digested it.
As for contacting Alan Moore, I suppose one could try his current publishers Top Shelf Comics. Website
I do know that he guards his privacy quite keenly as a legion of comics 'fanboy' types would dearly love to descend on him with their projects, praise etc (LOL), but also that he lives quite modestly in his home town of Northampton.
Cheers, John.
