Yes, I would think that one's own voice might be daemonic in origin. I have had this experience myself; usually when awakening from some sort of warning dream. He should be told about this site; now how can you do so, Paige?

For an insight into Pratchettian ITLADism forget the Discworld series and read Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman; one of the FUNNIEST books I've ever read (Robert Rankin aside), and you will never look at a "Best of Queen" album the same way ever again!
