being spiritual
Personal practices of spiritual expression (something that you do for your self/soul, not the body/survival)

"Artists throughout the centuries have spoken of 'inspiration,' confiding that God spoke to them or angels did. In our age, such notions of art as a spiritual experience are seldom mentioned. And yet, the central experience of creativity is mystical. Opening our souls to what must be made, we meet our Maker.-" The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron
Does ‘The Daemon’ inspire? ( if it is that?)
Question: What feeds your soul?

Do you know Schopenhauer had a word for the talent which consists of being receptive to transcendence through those types of practices? The funny thing, or I should say the sad thing , is, that I completely forget the term he used. And it had indications of daemon-like knowledge, and something akin to Tony's Scale of Transcendence.
PS Philosophy feeds my soul (daemon, more like) and beauty .
Insanity feeds my soul. Or G-d. They're very similar.
The concept of God as insanity: quite different from the concept defined in Aristotle, Plato, Aquinas, Augustine, Dante. In these thinkers, God was supremely rational; reason and ethics were the cornerstone of comprehension of Deity's "nature". And the Daemon, too, must have reason and ethics in some form, as a touchstone or nexus from which to spin out its IMAX. Even Nietzsche developed a kind of ethics, and his insanity was far from the best part of him. Then again, you probably were using the term somewhat liberally, as in the feminist or Wiccan meaning? But can it be defended? I may be one of the only members of this blogging community to have read into Peake an ethics, a teleology, a religion. But I came by it honestly: I was trained for it. If I am in error, it is not from malice, but through natural inclination and much reading of ethics and the domain of the religious as defined by the thinkers of antiquity.
Roshni: All the above feed my soul, along with good company and stimulating conversation.
When I first came across ITLAD I was in a state of spiritual and intellectual excitement for days. I still am for that matter!
Roshni: Sorry, but.......
*scratches head*
Susan Marie: I don't think you are in error, well said.
CrazyBunnyLady: *nods*
Woodsprite: Hope I fed your soul today then!
karl, im surprised! u have nothing to say?
Roshni: Oh I have LOTS to say!! I'm just being diplomatic!!
*smile*
