Spooky Avatar At A Distance Version 2

Jon: The image of Airey Luftig is even more strange. This snap was taken in 1980. In those days I had a rather more dangerous image than the 1977 version, or indeed how I am now. Note the "Johnny Depp" like ear ring. I really was "mad, bad and dangerous to know" .

My nickname in those days was "Zorba" (as in "Zorba The Peake" - get it?). This was a reflection (I assume anyway as it was not a nickname I gave myself) on my somewhat mediterranean features and the fact that I was (and still am) an absolute Grecophile.

Who would have assumed this from the gentle, white haired mild individual you all know now!

"Grease is the word,
It's got groove it's got meaning.
Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion;
Grease is the way we are feeling.

*everybody dance now*

And I like the Byronic allusion!

My local Kebab and Pizza house called "Zorba's" will never be the same again!

And congrats on growing up to be the elegant, debonair and charming man you are.
(it is YOUR round isn't it?)

JOHAR: I guess that means I must have "Faith" in the "Ace Of Spades"!

Either that or the "Freedom" to be a "Hellraiser"

And Jesamyn: Sweet JezBear, age is relative (meaning true ages should only be known by our relatives!) *smile*
You have a youthful exuberance and a warm heart and soul, and you are still young yourself!!!

Just coming upon this now, for some odd reason. I knew this aspect was there: Not in the least a surprise to me, rather a confirmation. And that in itself is a surprise of sorts. But profoundly lovely.
