Jon: The image of Airey Luftig is even more strange. This snap was taken in 1980. In those days I had a rather more dangerous image than the 1977 version, or indeed how I am now. Note the "Johnny Depp" like ear ring. I really was "mad, bad and dangerous to know" .My nickname in those days was "Zorba" (as in "Zorba The Peake" - get it?). This was a reflection (I assume anyway as it was not a nickname I gave myself) on my somewhat mediterranean features and the fact that I was (and still am) an absolute Grecophile.

Just coming upon this now, for some odd reason. I knew this aspect was there: Not in the least a surprise to me, rather a confirmation. And that in itself is a surprise of sorts. But profoundly lovely.
